By using Rigour Hero ("the Game") at rigourhero.com, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. What Rigour Hero Is

Rigour Hero is a free, non-commercial fan game inspired by Old School RuneScape (OSRS). It is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Jagex Limited. It is a personal project made under the terms of Jagex's Fan Content Policy.

The Game uses artistic elements inspired by OSRS. All Old School RuneScape content and trademarks are the property of Jagex Limited.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Rigour Hero. By using the Game, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from or provide services to anyone under 13.

3. Accounts

3.1 Identity

Your in-game identity is your RuneScape Name (RSN). You may only use an RSN that belongs to you or that you have permission to use. RSNs are verified against the official OSRS Hiscores.

3.2 Account Security

You may optionally set a password to protect your Rigour Hero account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your account resulting from shared or compromised credentials.

Your Rigour Hero password is completely separate from your RuneScape account password. Never use the same password for both. We will never ask for your RuneScape password.

3.3 One Account Per RSN

Each RSN corresponds to one Rigour Hero account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate the leaderboard, exploit game mechanics, or evade bans is prohibited.

4. Virtual Currency and Items

The Game includes a virtual currency called "GP" (Grindy Points) and virtual items that can be earned through gameplay and spent in the in-game General Store.

• GP and virtual items have no real-world monetary value.
• GP and items cannot be bought, sold, traded, or exchanged for real money, goods, or services.
• We reserve the right to modify GP balances, item availability, prices, and the virtual economy at any time.
• Virtual items and currency exist only within the Game and may be removed or reset at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Rigour Hero, you agree not to:

• Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to play the Game or submit scores.
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities. If you find one, report it through Discord.
• Manipulate the leaderboard through fake scores, replay tampering, or any other means.
• Impersonate other players or use RSNs that don't belong to you.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players through chat or private messages.
• Send spam, advertisements, or malicious links through any in-game communication.
• Attempt to access the server, other accounts, or data you are not authorized to access.
• Use the Game for any illegal purpose.

6. Chat and Communication

The Game includes public chat, private messaging, and channel/clan features. You are responsible for what you say. We reserve the right to moderate, mute, or ban accounts that violate these terms or disrupt the community.

Messages sent through the Game may be visible to other players and to administrators. Do not share sensitive personal information through in-game chat.

7. Enforcement

We reserve the right to take any of the following actions at our sole discretion, with or without notice:

• Remove or modify scores, items, GP, or other in-game data.
• Temporarily or permanently ban accounts.
• Restrict access to features or the Game entirely.

We are under no obligation to provide appeals for enforcement actions, though we may do so at our discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Jagex Content

Old School RuneScape, RuneScape, and related names, logos, and imagery are trademarks and intellectual property of Jagex Limited. Their use in this Game is under the terms of Jagex's Fan Content Policy.

8.2 Rigour Hero Content

Original code, design, and creative elements of Rigour Hero are the property of its creator. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Game's code, assets, or design without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Rigour Hero is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Game will be available at all times or without interruption.
• The Game will be free of bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities.
• Scores, progress, items, or account data will be preserved indefinitely.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rigour Hero and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Game. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual items or currency, or interruption of service.

The Game is a free, non-commercial project. Our total liability for any claim related to the Game shall not exceed zero dollars ($0).

11. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Game or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We may update these Terms as needed. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state in which the operator resides.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
